ConnetU was formed in September 2007 to provide expertise in hosting and server management to a small media organisation. The client base steadily grew to several SMEs from the media industries of publishing, software development and broadcasting, all requiring bespoke setups and looking to fully outsource the management of their hosting for cost-efficiency. Each and every one of these businesses continues to remain a client today—a testament to the thoroughness and pride we take in delivering quality hosting.

September 2009 saw the launch of our first public websites: www.connetu.com for our high specification managed dedicated servers, and www.servervisor.com for our bespoke multi-node network and server monitoring system developed in-house. For the first time our services were available to the wider public, making our quality UK hosting fully accessible.

Feedback obtained was extremely positive, highlighting additional requirements for less powerful and economy dedicated servers, and also for server colocation for clients wishing to host their own equipment under our reliable roof. Therefore after a 6 month programme of development, taking into account feedback from clients and the marketplace, our services were re-launched in May 2010 under the consolidated roof of the incorporated ConnetU Ltd. www.connetu.com. In addition to the new website and products, we launched a hosting API for all clients to use to obtain data about their services and perform actions remotely via any other computer system. Not restricted to resellers, this has allowed our clients to integrate the services we host for them with their own systems and software, run routine tasks and generate reports using the data we provide, and create collaborative software tools.
